How it started
Built on experience. Shaped by family and faith.
Founded in Columbus in 2026, AFATA Home Remodeling grew from years of hands-on construction experience and the support of a close Catholic family.
What started through family, faith, and word of mouth is becoming a company built to help homeowners move forward with spaces that feel renewed, functional, and truly their own.
We bring an “out with the old, in with the new” mindset to every project—while respecting the home, memories, and people already there.
What AFATA means
“Be opened.”
AFATA is inspired by the Aramaic word Ephphatha—“Be opened”—spoken by Jesus in Mark 7:34.
For our Catholic family, those words represent openness, renewal, and new beginnings. Remodeling can feel that way too. A tired kitchen, bathroom, or living space can affect how a home feels. Changing it can bring new energy, comfort, and motivation into everyday life.
We are not simply replacing what is old. We are helping open a familiar space to something new.
